Oral portfolio broadened across therapeutic classes
Ergopharm's oral register has broadened beyond its original class, adding tablet products whose pharmacology, handling and testing requirements differ substantially from what came before.
Diversity in a register is not free. A low-dose tablet raises content-uniformity questions that a higher-strength product does not; a film-coated tablet adds coating process controls and a different dissolution profile; a hormone product brings its own cleaning and containment considerations. Each addition was assessed against the existing equipment train before it was accepted.

The analytical consequence was equally real: new methods, new reference standards, new impurity profiles to characterise against ICH Q3B thresholds, and new stability studies begun from scratch.
Every product entering the register carries the same documentation set — specification, method validation, stability programme, serialised pack layout — under a single controlled reference.
