01

This site is not medical advice

The material published on ergopharm.net — product monographs, composition and pharmaceutical particulars, quality and manufacturing pages, newsroom items — is technical and corporate information about medicines that Ergopharm manufactures. It is not medical, pharmaceutical or diagnostic advice, and it must not be used to diagnose a condition, to select a treatment, or to start, change or stop one.

If you have a question about a medicine or a symptom, consult a qualified healthcare professional. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately — do not use this website and do not wait for a reply to an email.

02

All products are prescription-only

Every product in this catalogue is a prescription-only medicine, to be supplied against a valid prescription and used under the supervision of a qualified prescriber. Dosage, route, duration and monitoring are always as determined by the prescriber for the individual patient, in accordance with the product information approved in the country of use.

Nothing on this site should be read as a recommendation to use any product, as guidance on how to use it, or as a suggestion that any product is suitable for any particular person. Self-medication with prescription-only medicines is unsafe and, in most jurisdictions, unlawful.

03

Intended audience

Product information on this site is intended for healthcare professionals, licensed pharmaceutical distributors and importers, hospital and institutional procurement, and regulatory and quality bodies assessing Ergopharm as a manufacturer.

It is written in the technical register those readers work in and it assumes professional knowledge. It is not written for patients or the general public. If you have arrived here as a member of the public, please take any question about a medicine to your doctor or pharmacist rather than to this site.

04

Approved local product information prevails

Monograph pages summarise pharmaceutical particulars for professional and trade reference. They are not the approved product information for any market.

Where a product is registered in a country, the summary of product characteristics, package leaflet, labelling and any other product information approved by the competent authority of that country is the sole authoritative text. In case of any difference between this site and the approved local documentation, the approved local documentation governs, without exception.

05

Availability and regulatory status differ by country

The presence of a product in this catalogue means that Ergopharm manufactures it. It does not mean that the product is registered, authorised or available in your country, and it does not mean that the presentation, strength or pack size shown is the one approved where you are.

Nothing on this site is an offer, promotion, advertisement or solicitation to supply a medicine in any country where such supply, or the promotion of it, would be unlawful, or where the product is not registered. All products are designated for export only, and supply takes place only under a separate written agreement with a counterparty holding the licences and import permissions that the destination country requires. Ergopharm makes no representation that any product has been approved, authorised or reviewed by any national medicines regulator.

06

Illustrative figures

Operational figures published on this site — production and packaging capacities, throughput, batch and campaign sizes, timings, cleanroom and utility parameters, lead times, headcount and similar values — are illustrative and are given to describe the character of our operations. They are not commitments, not specifications of supply, and not to be relied on in a tender, a technical dossier or a contractual context.

Serialisation examples, batch numbers, expiry dates and any verification codes shown in explanatory material are specimens used to demonstrate the format. They do not correspond to released stock. Binding technical and commercial particulars are issued only in writing, in a quality agreement, specification sheet or contract signed by Ergopharm.

07

Reporting a suspected adverse reaction

If you suspect that an Ergopharm product has caused an adverse reaction, report it. Reports from healthcare professionals, patients, distributors and importers are all accepted, and a report may be made even where the connection to the product is uncertain.

Send the report to pv@ergopharm.net. A report is usable if it identifies a reporter we can contact, an identifiable patient, a suspect product and a suspected reaction — but send what you have rather than waiting to complete it, and we will follow up.

  • Product name, strength, pack presentation, batch number and expiry date, taken from the carton or ampoule where possible.
  • The reaction: what happened, when it started in relation to the dose, how it developed, and its outcome so far.
  • Patient details limited to what makes the report assessable — age band, sex, relevant medical history and concomitant medicines. Do not send names or other identifying particulars.
  • Your name, role and a contact address, so that we can seek clarification.
  • Whether the reaction has also been reported to a national authority.
  • Reporting to us does not replace reporting through your national spontaneous-reporting system, and it is not a consultation. Urgent clinical management is a matter for the treating professional, and a medical emergency is a matter for your local emergency services.
08

Reporting a suspected falsified or tampered pack

Falsified medicines are a patient-safety hazard. If a pack looks wrong — a broken tamper-evident seal, artwork or print that differs from the pack you know, a scratch panel already removed, a DataMatrix that will not decode, a batch number or expiry that does not agree between carton and immediate container, or a verification code that our service does not recognise — treat it as suspect.

Do not dispense, administer or use the pack. Quarantine it, keep it with its outer packaging and any transport documentation, and photograph it as found. Report it to quality@ergopharm.net with the batch number, expiry, the code you tried and the name of the party that supplied the pack to you. Report it also to the competent authority in your country and to your supplier, as your national rules require. We will not ask you to destroy or return material before you have discharged those obligations.

09

Limits of the verification service

The verification page checks a code against records Ergopharm holds. A confirmed result indicates that the code corresponds to a batch we released. It does not confirm that the pack in your hands is the pack the code was applied to, that it has been stored and transported within its conditions, that its shelf life is intact, or that the channel it reached you through was lawful.

A code that fails to verify may reflect a typing error or a code that was never in the released range. It is not, on its own, proof of falsification. In either direction the service is an indicator that supports your own checks — the physical pack examination, the serialisation data on the carton and your supply-chain due diligence — and does not replace them.

10

Medical information enquiries

Technical and medical information enquiries from healthcare professionals may be sent to medinfo@ergopharm.net. Responses are factual, are limited to the product information Ergopharm holds, and do not constitute advice on the treatment of an individual patient. Responsibility for any clinical decision remains with the treating professional.
