Blister packaging line commissioned for oral solids
Ergopharm has commissioned a blister packaging line for its oral solid-dose products, adding unit-dose presentation with in-line seal integrity checking to the existing bulk format.
A blister is not only a container; it is a barrier and a record. It protects each tablet from moisture and light until the moment it is pressed out, it makes tampering visible, and printed on its foil it carries the batch and expiry that follow the tablet after the carton is discarded — which is often the only identification a patient still has.

The line runs forming, filling, sealing and cutting with checks at each stage: empty-pocket detection before sealing, seal integrity monitoring, and printed data verified against the batch. Material specifications are set from the product's own stability and photostability data rather than from what is cheapest to run.
Blistered packs are cartoned and serialised on the same terms as the rest of the register, so a unit-dose pack is verifiable exactly as an ampoule carton is.
