Cookie Notice
This site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. There is nothing to consent to, and therefore no consent banner. The only cookie we issue belongs to the restricted staff area and is created only after a member of Ergopharm personnel logs in.

Summary
Browsing ergopharm.net — reading the catalogue, opening a monograph, sending a message through the contact form or checking a code on the verification page — sets no cookie in your browser. Nothing is stored to recognise you on a later visit, and nothing is stored to build a record of what you looked at.
Because we set no cookie for visitors and use no similar technology for tracking, no consent is required under the ePrivacy rules that govern storage on a user's device, and we do not display a consent banner.
The one cookie we set
The site includes a restricted internal area used by Ergopharm personnel to maintain pack verification codes. Signing in to that area sets a single session cookie. If you are not a member of our staff you will never encounter it.
- Purpose: strictly necessary — it holds the signed session that keeps a logged-in staff member authenticated between pages.
- Set when: only on a successful login to the internal area, never on a public page.
- Lifetime: seven days, after which the session expires and login must be repeated. Signing out deletes it immediately.
- Flags: httpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it; SameSite=Lax; marked Secure when the site is served over HTTPS.
- Contents: an identifier and an expiry, signed by the server. It carries no browsing history, no advertising identifier and no personal profile.
- Third-party access: none. It is set by this site, sent only back to this site, and shared with nobody.
What this site does not use
The following are absent by design, not merely unused today.
- Analytics cookies and analytics scripts of any kind — no visit counting, no session recording, no heatmaps, no A/B testing.
- Advertising and retargeting cookies, tracking pixels, conversion tags and beacons.
- Social media buttons, share widgets, comment systems, chat widgets and embedded video players — every one of which would otherwise set third-party cookies.
- Externally hosted fonts, scripts, stylesheets and images. Typefaces and assets are served from our own server, so loading a page makes no request to any third-party domain.
- Cross-site or cross-device identifiers, fingerprinting, and any form of profiling.
Other storage in your browser
We do not use local storage, session storage or IndexedDB to hold information about you. Values you have typed into the contact or verification form exist in the page while you are on it, so that the form can be redisplayed with what you entered if something needs correcting; they are not written to persistent browser storage and are gone when the page closes.
Your browser's own caching of pages, images and stylesheets is standard behaviour and is controlled by your browser settings, not by us.
Server logs are not cookies
Our web server records each request — IP address, date and time, page requested, response status and user-agent — as any server does. This happens on the server side and stores nothing on your device, so it is not covered by cookie rules. It is used for security and fault-finding, is retained for a limited period and is described in full in the Privacy Policy.
Controlling cookies
Every current browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, either generally or for a single site, usually under Settings, Privacy. Because this site sets nothing for ordinary visitors, blocking cookies for ergopharm.net will change nothing about how the public pages behave.
The only consequence is for Ergopharm personnel: if the session cookie is blocked or deleted, the internal area cannot keep you logged in and will return you to the login screen.
Changes to this notice
If we ever introduce a cookie or a third-party component that stores anything on your device, this notice will be updated before that change goes live, and — where the law requires it — consent will be requested at that point. The revision stamp at the head of this page shows the current version.
