Dedicated sampling and dispensing booths installed
Sampling and dispensing of starting materials have moved into dedicated booths with local unidirectional airflow, separating those operations from the general warehouse environment.
Opening a container is the moment a material is most exposed. Doing it under protected airflow, in a room with its own pressure regime and cleaning regime, removes a route of contamination that is easy to overlook because nothing visible goes wrong when it is ignored.
“The container is never more vulnerable than in the second after it is opened.”
The booths also improved segregation and reconciliation: dispensing for one batch is completed and cleared before the next begins, and weighed quantities are verified by a second person against the batch record.
Airflow in each booth is visualised and recorded at qualification and re-verified periodically.
